Asia Bound!

At the end of June, we are moving to China for 5 months.  Dan's newest role has afforded him the opportunity to work there while the girls and I will be homeschooling and exploring Shanghai!  We will be visiting other countries in Asia during work breaks.  Please sign up for our updates!  The girls will be taking the pictures and writing the posts. Zionsville Pumpkinfest with Friends

We joined some dear friends at the Zionsville Pumpkinfest today.  We enjoyed hayrides, hay slides farm animals, pumpkin picking, and tractor riding.  We even got lost (literally) in a corn maze.  And, I can't forget the apple doughnuts and cider!

Evangeline's 2nd Birthday Party

Many of you know that every Tuesday night is Family Night at our local Chick-fil-a and that the Barnes family rarely miss this event.  Not only do we appreciate not making dinner on Tuesday nights and the yummy food, but the girls absolutely adore the Chick-fil-a cow.  Many parents look to a certain television show or character for their birthday party themes.  Evie's favorite character is, without a doubt, the CFA cow.  That is why we chose to have her 2nd birthday at our local Chick-fil-a.  It was a fantastic time and so many of her special

friends were there!  Thank you for all of you who were able to join us.  She had a blast.  As she left the restaurant, she looked up at me, and said, "Happy Birthday Evie!"  Thanks to her Daddy for taking all of the pictures.  We didn't get one with him in it but he looked dashing in pink just like his little ladies.

My Little Pumpkins - Pumpkin Patch Visit 2013

I have to admit it was much easier this year than when Evie was less than 1 year old.  The girls had a great time picking out their favorite pumpkin.  Evie picked the biggest pumpkin.  Reagan picked one that was like one in her books at home.  If anyone is familiar with The Littlest Pumpkin, there is a "bumpy, lumpy pumpkin" and she found it.  She is so excited!  Fall, we are happy you are here.
