Visit to Winchester!
After my work trip in D.C., we left for Winchester, VA to see Reagan and the rest of the Barnes Clan. All of the Uncles came home to see Reagan and meet Evangeline. Andrew took trains, buses and cars to get there. Tim went and picked Andrew up. They all worked together to make it a great trip. The girls were a little under the weather with colds, but Grand Marie, Grandpa Tom Choo-Choo, and the Uncles were just what they needed to smile and lift their spirits.
When we got there, we learned of the incredible time Reagan had already had the past 2 days without us. She decorated a tree with Shamrocks and called it "Grandpa's Tree", she was given multiple gifts from the whole family (including her very own backpack!), and lots of yummy Grand Marie food . It looked like a toddler lived there due to the preparation that Grand Marie put into getting their home ready for the visit. She even had kid's bottled water!!! I didn't even know they made that!
While there, we visited Urgent Care to get the girls some anti-biotics, the duck pond where we played hide-and-seek, football, and Ring-around-the-Rosie (nice job Uncle Stephen & Uncle Matthew!); worked on Reagan's alphabet with sidewalk chalk (thanks Uncle Matthew!), played with glow sticks (good idea Anne Marie!), and just enjoyed each other's company. We wish we lived closer!
